weekend 27-28th of october in Gdansk took place the pilot project of 'archipelag myśli'. the promoter, piotr szwabe [former organizator of 'kliniczna'] invited to the project agnieszka szreder [video project: 'make-up'], iwona zajac with young squad [mural project: 'reconstructions', and refreshment of old pieces] and prawatt group. yeap, into this arrangement was also implicated banksy. But it finished with a embarrassing vlakat. promoter took clever advantage of street's icon to his pr action, very successful. too bad that he didn't stop at that. +++ we announce space invader at saj.4 :p Forest of banners
gyula pauer, hungarian artist prepared installation 'forest of banners', that reminds the actions of 1956. - first time I've presented it in 1978 at the open-air in nagyatad - says gyula pauer. - it covered over 400 sqm. and it took a work of many months. after three days of presentation government ordered to take it apart and destroy. now after years I reconstruct a part of it in warsaw. banners have inscriptions in hungarian and polish. they don't quote socialistic or oppositional slogans. they mock at rhetoric of communistic propaganda, travestying its language, e.g. in slogan 'long live the banner as form of falling camp!', but they also demand the freedom of thoughts and creative liberty of an artist. +++ group [v] in Torun
